Recycling found objects and materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill and turning them into a beautiful creative piece of art is one of my personal passions. When a local store went out of business a few years ago I just KNEW I could do something with all the glass shelving! Well I finally found some time to "play" with that glass and this is the first of one of my creations. It is Three layers of glass fused together in a glass kiln. It is then cooled and placed in a plate slumper mold. It is then refired and slumped into shape. Its a one of a kind piece!
