I was inspired to create this "book" by an ancient bit of illuminated ephemera from the Book of John. Loreena McKinnett's music played the while, and seemed to tie into the theme of monastic life, moodiness, music, mystery...it just required combining layers, textures, shapes, text, filters and effects until I was pleased with the result.
