Best Friends is my attempt to answer to question: If Tamara Lempicka painted Andreâ€™ Lhoteâ€™s 2 Friends what would it look like.

Tamara Lempicka allowed herself to sit under only 2 teachers, Maurice Denis and Andreâ€™ Lhote. I think the textural nuance found in most of her painting could be attributed to Denis, however most powerful influence I see in Lempicka work is that of Andreâ€™ Lhote. he and Lempicka seem to share a delicate technique of simplification of the human body into a series of boxes,cyclinders and circles. Beautiful, elegant and seamless application lends itself to near flawless movement in the portrayal of what otherwise appears to be still figures.

Best Friends is a digital illustration and was created by combining illustrative elements including ArtMatic (fractal creation), in Poser 10 (positioning) CS6 (the lion share of illustration)
