new one for Etsy

Ring of Mictecacihuatl, day of the dead sterling silver and turquoise. Is made of hand carved Bisbee Sky blue turquoise and two red garnets set in 1/2 Ounce of sterling silver with a musical note for to represent the festive day on one side and stars on the other representing the night sky on the day of the dead. The top is laid out like a foot to represent walking in the presents of the dead.

In Aztec Mythology, Mictecacihuatl is the Quen of Mictals, theunderworld, ruling over the afterlife with Mictlantecuhtli, another deity who is designated as her husband.

Her role is to keep watch over the bones of the dead. She presided over the ancient festivals of the dead, which evolved from Aztec traditions into the modern Day of the Dead after synthesis with Spanish cultural traditions. She is said now to preside over the contemporary festival as well.

Gaia's Gift " Anello di oracolo" the orical ring

Moon Raven and Oak

According to one legend, Gaia gave the oracle to her daughter, the goddess of justice Themis, who in turn passed it on to her sister the moon goddess Phoebe.

Made with Gold moon and diamond eyed in raven on top. Oak tree on one side and sign of trinity on other.

All of these symbols were used to foretell the signs of good fortune or foretell bad omens by the wise women of European folklore of the Native American peoples.

Such as this rime ;One for sorrow, two for mirth, Three for a wedding, four for a birth, Five for silver, six for gold, Seven for a secret not to be told. Eight for heaven, nine for hell, And ten for the devil's own self'.

Ring size 6 1/2 the top is 19 mm across or about 8/10th an inch across

The ring is all hand hammered and fabricated from small bits and pieces of sterling silver and gold. Total weight 9 grams or about one-third ounce.
