Ok Nata....a couple of things I see. The blue thing in the corner really stands out in my eyes. I'm not fond of the dark background. It makes her look a little flat and not 3 dimensional. I always try to photograph a child with something to show scale, it will give a sense of how old the child is.
The photo is very sharp and her skin tone is even...what a unique color of eyes. All very good things.
Did you use a flash? Where is the light coming from? Did you crop?
What sort of edits did you do?
Lots of questions

attached is what the picture looked like...I just started playing around with the light contrast and saturation, color balance, shadow highlight...I tried to duplicate the procedures for another photo but couldn't remember what I did...when I have time I want to learn how to use photo shop....I appreciate your feedback....the deadline for the contest is Oct 2....I will take more pics of bella with a background....I will take your suggestion into consideration ...thank you ;-)
p.s. her eyes change with the different lightning....I always said she and my older daughter have unique eye colors.....my son has blue instead

That is a pretty little girl for sure! Try taking her outside in that gorgeous dress to get some shots in the natural sunlight. That will make the greatest difference for you. Natural light is amazing.

What a sweetheart!!  I love her eyes.  I think you need to include a little more background in the crop, her head is cut off a little bit and that is somewhat distracting.  I like the shine to her hair, it seems to accent her eyes.  It is a really cute photo, I see why you want to do something with it!!  Curious to see what else you do!

Hi Donna,

I use a quick and easy Resizing tool when I want to post images here.  Serious photographers here probably have their own methods, but this works for my purposes.  I always choose the "medium" size and have no trouble getting the image posted here.

You have to download the program in this link:

That is cute, really!  Being in black and white seems to enhance the image, too!

I usually size my images to something like 600x400 pixels and it seems to be the right size to put in the thread.  I use photobucket.com to load them up to.

Yeah, photobucket is what I use too and it will auto resize it to a few different preset dimension so you don't end up with something scary big or postage stamp size so it is easier to view (and show off)

Hi Christi! I personally prefer photobucket...it seems to have more features that I find easy to work with
