First, thanks for all of the help with the pixellation!

I can't believe it's still at the top. For me, this has become the go to place to get questions answered so I can't believe there aren't more people taking advantage of the knowledge here. I'll spread the word for sure.

So the question is what is the policy on nudity with Ebay and paypal now?

I think I'd heard it had changed. I'm just talking mermaids and that sort of thing. Don't know if it's ok to include the link here?

Thanks for any help =)
Mia

It's not nudity per se... It's the "Mature Audiences" category. If you list an item in that category, you can't accept PayPal as a payment method. You probably won't be listing your art in that category, though (unless it's out-and-out porn type stuff) so you should be fine.

Linda is right on 'mature' nature of SOME nudes.... BUT... some nude art that shows NO sexual behavior OR mentions NOTHING about sex... you can list it in art under 'nudes'.

ALSO... feel free to email me or sandy if you'd like to join DTOY... we're a group of artists on ebay who support nude art on ebay.

Oh wow, really? I disabled the paypal option on a few of those listings so as not to risk losing them shooot. I don't think a nipple here and there qualifies as mature audience so maybe I'll give it shot, I'm also using a second ID for the same reason. I really like paypal and I'd hate to lose em.

vfem I'll definitely check it out, DTOY, thanks =)

Thank you both!
Have a good one,
Mia

As far as I know, you can list ANY nude art in the art category or in self-rep - it doesn't even have to be in 'nudes'. I've never listed mine in 'nudes'. Unless, like I said, your art involves intercourse and the like... If it is sexual in nature, then eBay would ask that it be moved to Mature Audiences. It's all spelled out in the eBay help section.

I think eBay (and PayPal) want to maintain the image of being a family-oriented company. They don't want to process payments for items that could potentially be "harmful" or even illegal. Porn, guns, etc.... I think that's probably why, but I am just guessing.
