Much the same as our annual portrait swap, except the portraits swapped are of the pets of EBSQ artists- not of one another. Artist's pair up, exchange picutes of thier pets and then get to work. At the end of the month, they send the finished work to one another - after posting an image of it in the show, of course. It doesn't matter what type of pet you have. All are welcome.
Participants should include the name of their partner (as well as their partner's pet!)

Please sign up here if you'd like to work 16 x20 or smaller. (there is a separate sign up if you'd like to do an ATC) You're welcome to pair with anyone in this thread.

I'm going to sign up here for one more...in this size I would do either a river rock portrait or a canvas in oils....anyone else want to pair with me?

Yes, in case you don't know, this is my favorite show!   What more would you expect from the crazy cat lady??

Tracey - let's go for this size on our swap!!  >^..^<

I think I would prefer the oil painting to rock.
I will be doing an oil painting (oh THAT is just such a HUGE surprise! lol!!!)

I don't have a pet, however one of my cleaning customers has agreed to let the image of their pet dog, Athena, be included in this year's swap.  They are art collectors and appreciate a bit of British humor as he is from London.  So this one could be nasty fun.

I'd like to do up someone's.  The personality of the animal would decipher for me what medium/a to use.

I'd like to trade at this size with someone. Don't know if I'll be sticking with the current monoprinting or my usual oils, or something else, I guess it depends on the subject. POst here or PM me if you're interested.

I LOVE this swap too... because my dog is my baby!
Pictures here and more here (some repeats but the second Flickr link is more up to date)

I have enjoyed doing dogs (like MO and Angus) in fabric for past shows... and a cat and even an imaginary animal for Diana since she had no pet. click thos links to see the details.

I would LOVE to pair up with someone totally new to the pet swap with a dog or cat.

I would be making something in the 12x18 or 16x20 range.

You too can be in the EBSQ "gallery" at Cynthia's House! Come on you know you want to!  (click on the photo to see notes about who's who in this pic)

I totally had a blast drawing Charger as you supplied a photo where he has a hat on.  You've got the coolest dog!

On the other hand I still owe Kelly her Lhasa apso.  Maybe I should do it now and put it in here.  Would that be OK?

Hi,  I spent the day with Athena today and forgot to bring my camera.  But I am sure I can get a picture pretty soon.

Just one question......hope this doesn't sound dumb................do we do the pet portrait in our own style of working? (as opposed to the style of the pet owner).

This swap is done in your own style, and I think most people swap pictures through email, though I'm sure snail mail is fine too, I've certainly done it that way too.

Cute black cat!

No, it's not a dumb question, especially considering the ripped off show this month.

The portrait should be done in your own style :)
