Here's a great little project to do on the weekend that will help take good pictures of small art objects. It's worth the time investment and so cheap to make!

...and this is a couple of pictures of beads I took using mine. The tall one is 1.5 inches high and the round one is about 1 inch at it's widest:

I still need to work on contrast but you get the idea, it makes everything so much easier.
