Yes, I was there...and Melissa did a great job! I have never really considered doing a hooked rug until I read her tutorial and looked at the photos she took...but it looks like so much fun and not nearly as difficult as I thought it might be.....

I most pointedly did NOT go.. not because I don't have an interest in rug hooking, because I *do*... and that's the thing. I'm absolutely positive I'd have been burning up the wires to dickblick ordering rug-hooking stuff, and the LAST thing we need is for me to acquire another hobby.

We're tripping over canvas, as it is.

Is there a transcript published anywhere so I can safely read it once the urge to hook a rug has passed?

they don't make it to the learn section until after they debut in the zine. this particular presentation will be available in the september 2005 zine.

Oh Dawn, I'm right there with you. I've got sculpey for when I was going to be a sculptor, some mosaic pieces when I was going to do mosaics, pen and inks for when I went through that phase.....yeah, I need to add something else to my obsession list! LOL

Yep, me too...tons of stuff piled in my "art room" (off limits to my family) spanning the gamut<sp> of art mediums! The one thing I know I'm good at is painting, but I love to dabble! Speaking of dabbling, my husband is buying me an airbrush and compressor kit, but we don't know what brand to buy! Any suggestions?
