I had dreams all last night about this.  I couldn't find one of my paintings.  Another one looked different than the image I sent in and I was getting panicky about it.  In another dream I was frantically trying to paint all 5 paintings in one day.  Yikes!  Today my eyes feel heavy - I feel like was working all night.

This is mysecond time applying and I'm very nervous.  I didn't apply in September because I didn't feel ready.  I wanted to make sure that I felt a connection this time and in January I was certain it was time.  I used the comments from last time to help me this time around.  I used the constructive criticism well - not something I'm normally good at.

I will be sitting on pins and needles until I hear something but it's also exciting.  I will not crumble if I'm not accepted.  It will happen eventually.

Shawn try not to be nervous The important thing is you are moving forward and pursuing opportunities! Don't put all your eggs in one basket spread it around... Some will hit and some wont.
Your Pavement Series is really AWSOME!

Thanks Teri.  I have tried not to get my hopes up but of course, that is easier said than done.  I'll be just fine though.  I've been at this for a long time and have learned that my stuff isn't everyone's cup of tea.  I'm still growing in my work and I do sell it so there is a level of confidence.  Hey, any ideas on why I come up as a new member?  I've been here for almost two years.

"Hey, any ideas on why I come up as a new member?  I've been here for almost two years."

It's referring to your number of posts here on the new forum. Has nothing to do with "seniority" (or lack thereof) as an actual EBSQ member.

I applied! Not too nervous though, just excited!!! I can relate to the dreams though. Since I've been painting I have a hard time sleeping at night, I keep getting ideas and feel like I paint myself to sleep! Relax, I'm sure it will be fine!

It always makes me think of it more as barbeque.

Yes, all applicants will receive an email with a yes or no to their application, as well as comments on their submitted work from the jurors. Also, the newly juried members will be announced both here in the forums as well as in the April issue of the EBSQ zine.

Good luck!
