Hi Lisa, I was wondering what happened to your fabulous and extremely popular pooch fairy entry! Since no one else has answered you, I am pretty sure that would be fine but I am rather new and maybe a more seasoned opinion will pop up soon.

Lisa,

Sara's right, you can use that piece.  Really any artwork can be used for nibblefest contests as long as it fits the theme - it doesn't have to be new or created just for NFAC.

Sorry your entry got pulled, I totally missed it.  I was very sick that whole week & was barely online at all, I only looked at the entries once during the contest.

Sara and Vicky,
Thanks for replying!!  That is great news!!  I really look forward to the Nibblefest each month and bidding on a few of the wonderful entries myself.    I'm so happy, I can enter that piece again and hopefully without a mishap this time.

Vicky...............sorry to hear you were sick, there is so much yucky flu and such going around now.   Well, I hope you are feeling better.  I was missing seeing an entry from you in Dec. (I'm still hoping to win one of your amazing paintings soon)

Sara...I bid on your beautiful drawing too, I loved the skin, and thought it was just gorgeous.  But those sneaky bidders outbid me at the last minute when I wasn't looking!!
Take Care both of you!!
-Lisa

Great!  Just be sure to join Nibblefest board over at ebay groups & post your link there when you list.

I just put my 1st painting up for nibblefest.  Can we use EBSQ's template for this or does it need to be on a plain white background?

Also, it say to put it up on the 20th between 4pm and 1am pst.  Doesn't that really mean on the 20th 4pm to 11:59pm and the 21st between 12am and 1am pst.  Dumb question, I know, but just making sure I'm following the rules.

Hi Lisa,

You can use whatever template you like for your nibblefest auction.  As for listing times, if you're not clear, check the world clock link (I have it posted on the NFAC board & I'm sure I have it on here too, I don't have time to find it now since I'm at work).

I use the EBSQ template to do the auction for nibblefest.. just remember the sentence in there to see all other entries at 99cents.  I schedule my auction for around 8pm pacific.. since Its in the night for me..

cmon lisa.. when you going to post and show your nibble piece?.. sure its great!

Kelly by "automatic lister" do you mean "create auction template"?  I just wondered since it does give extra info and pictures.

Ok I have read the two pages and am somewhat enlightened and confused too.  If anyone would kindly post the steps a virgin ebay/nibblefest entrant needs to do, please do so.  Thank you, Stephanie

If I have one official entry, can I still list other pieces with the NFAC keyword?  I have three ideas for the Winter Wonderland theme, and would love to list them with Nibblefest, but dont want to step on anyone's toes.

the NFAC key word should only be used for the actual entry. :D

Thanks Nellie!

Tau, what I meant by the line you quoted was that you can list others with the same theme, but only choose one for nibblefest (and that's the one with NFAC in the title). If they all had NFAC in the title, we wouldn't know which one was entered in the contest. I'm thinking of possibly changing this rule though, maybe I'll run a poll to see what people think - maybe allow a set number per artist (to keep people from running, say, 20) but each artist could only win once.

Anyway, back to your question - what you could do is list the one w/nfac in the title but in the description you could direct people to your other auctions (e.g., "please see my other auctions in the same theme") and vice versa, you are allowed to mention nibblefest and NFAC within the description of the auction.

Ok, I have a question...I was thinking about entering a nibblefest entry for June.  It will be my first one.  Do I have to join something?  I've never done anything with ebay groups (I don't think!).  Or can I just list my entry using the NFAC and other guidelines.
Thanks!

Kimmy,

Yes, you need to join the ebay Nibblefest group for several reasons - that's where you'll find the awards, important announcements , polls for upcoming themes, group emails are sent from there to the member list, blah blah blah. I update here too but not as diligently as over there, since that's the official nibblefest home.

I also ask that everyone post their image & links there too (each month we have a dedicated post for that) since sometimes we need to go back & check entries after the contest is over, and without those links there's no way of even knowing who entered (ebay only keeps completed searches for two weeks now).

Also if you do decide to list for June (I hope you do) PLEASE be sure to read the rules carefully, this month I had to disqualify quite a few entrants because they either had listing upgrades (your entry shouldn't cost more than 15¢ to list), posted at the wrong time, didn't follow the theme, etc.

This isn't just for Kimmy, but for anyone else thinking of participating.
