Hi everybody! 25 y/o self representing artist from Oklahoma here. Just got back from a wild 5 year adventure that took me all across the continental U.S. and I'm ready to once again focus on making and selling my work online. I think the last time I was particularly active in online selling and artist communities was in 2006-2007 and wow...so much has changed since then!

Etsy, Artfire, Redbubble...so many venues and so much to get a handle on!

Glad to be back at EBSQ, which seems to always be the pulse of the self representing artists community!

Amanda, Carolyn, Amie, thank you so much for the warm welcome back! Five years of inspiration, absolutely Amie!

I spent time living in Philadelphia, I traveled on the road selling body jewelry with a road gyspy hippy, fell into hospitality management quite by accident when a hotel we were staying at had a position open, I have met so many interesting people from all around the world with this work! I fell in love, got married, lived north of Seattle on the coast for a few years, fell out of love, moved back to the family farm in Oklahoma...and here I be. :)

All new experience considered it has amazed me how several years of not really DOING much art has not negatively affected my progress as an artist. Quite the contrary, once you have trained your brain to look for light, color and shape, the more you take in, the more you experience, the larger repository you have to reference from. You CAN spend time not actual producing work, then settle down to actual CREATE and lo and behold here is something new! Here is something improved! Amazing things our creative brains!

Looking forward to re-educating myself concerning online art marketing, a LOT has changed since I was here last so I have been spending a lot of time learning how to "properly" work etsy (thankyou Miss Amanda for the wonderful info in the Etsy Street Team sub-forum) and other venues.
