Ok, now I am in the chapter on Paper. Painter has several different types, and they can all be changed a variety of ways to make them more interesting. Also, the book gave directions for getting more paper types! So many choices!! Here is the pic I am using... Below is the image using two different kinds of paper. The paper on the left is Simulated Woodgrain and I used different values of paper scaling....from 0% to 400%..........the second paper is Thick Handmade paper with changing contrast from 0% to 400%....pretty interesting, ha? Not sure I like the results, but they sure are different. Finally an image I made using Thick Handmade paper...first I used Chalk to cover the whole image with a rather high contrast paper. Then I used my favorite, Smeary Blender to bring out detail in the middle. I printed this one....came out ok. not great. Looks better smaller! LOL Even printed you can't see much of the texture in the center, but I think that is because I used a smeary brush.......but there is some texture, more than there would be on a different, smoother paper. Well, enough experimentation for today! C
