Gotta capture the Caramel Apples with nuts every Fall.  Kevin's tip of the day: Always buy the ones covered with nuts, that way the caramel dosen't stick to the bag on the way home.

Kevin you nut.   Nice nutty apples!  Beautiful kitty Lisa!

I was hoping I could get a pic of the bright Tamarack trees before the needles turn dark and fall off but it wouldn't stop raining.  Then finding a sizeable stand of them near a road was the next hurdle.  They grow in swamps so the roads that take you to them are usually a washboard but I found a bunch!

Beautiful shot Steph...I saw one of these trees driving around the other day and wondered what it was!

there's a small(ish) zoo out here that recently closed after 30+ years...they still have a few deer and buffalo left.

Lovely caramel apples, Kevin.  And, they are so fitting for the season!  (thanks for the hint!)

What a gorgeous Cat, Lisa!  I love how soft the coloring is and that position is priceless!!

Thanks everyone!  Olga I didn't realize you have tamarack all that far south.  They're awesome trees!  Carolyn, I have tons of roads, I shot a bunch while on my scooter and now looking for the Tamarack stands.  You will see them soon, lol.

Beautiful shots Carolyn & Olga!!!

Beautiful shot C!

I'm not sure that's what that tree was Steph...at first I thought it was a tree that was dying but the color was so strange for a pine/fir...I don't think it was dying so maybe it's a Tamarack someone planted?  Looked just like those in your pic....

If the needles turn brown and fall off, it's prolly a Tamarack!  They grow in swamps, was it in a swamp?  Here's a link!

So great to see Lynne!!!  She does look a wee bit unhappy with the pic.  Did you sneak up on her?....Cute anyway!!

Lovely, Lisa.  I am loving your summer images, this one is especially nice.  Can almost smell the flower!

Anothe disappearing road!!  Yes, this must be the month of the disappearing road!  This is a lovely one, Steph.  Woods on one side and fields on the other...with lots more trees up ahead.  Great image!

So to keep the theme going here is another disappearing road from me!

What fun Olga!  Love the falling leave!  This is my kind of space as well.  The less people the better!  One of the houses up there has an airstrip and a small cessna.  It's pretty far to drive anywhere, like 10 miles down a road like that just to get to a blacktop that is also in the middle of nowhere!
