Beautiful piece, Christi.  I really love the colors!

I love yours, Olga.  Especially the fact that you included yourself in there!  Really cute!

And, Pillowthrowdecor, that is a really nice pillow.  Awfully creative for sure!! Love it!

I love your purse, Kris.  I especially like that you used control-alt-delete as the decorative keys on the top...LOL!!.......

The flower is amazing.  Hard to believe that was a garbage bag!

I guess I just love all the entries!!..........

The entries just keep getting better!!

Carolyn I love how your incorporated the purple thread. There is something very ephemeral in this and soothing.

Kris when I saw that wooden box I wondered if you going to make a purse!

Amanda!  I don't know how, but I managed to miss seeing your finished piece.  I really like it!  I can't imagine how you pulled it off, but the stones, the water and the frogs are just perfect!!  All out of leftovers!

Thanks Carolyn! The most difficult part was transforming all that cardboard. I had to do a little everyday to give my hands a break!

Ok, no more late entries to be accepted!

EVERYONE did an AWESOME AWESOME BEYOND AWESOME job. I'm smiling so big right now. You guys took some great leaps here with your work. You took yourself, your likes, your weaknesses and your strengths and you all tackled something new. You also did a green and eco friendly thing (I don't know if that makes you hippies or anything though). So you made a gorgeous piece of art, and a you made a difference for the planet all at once.

I am now judging what we have from each of you. Then John and I will get together with our scores and pick the first place and 2nd place winners.

I'm sad to say that we had 15 people sign up, and only 8 entries (not counting John and I). But I understand sickness comes up, work and life just happen as well. I also failed several times at my attempts, so I KNOW this was not an easy challenge. However, John required a minimum of 15 people to add the mag subscription to the prize pool. Maybe later on he will offer it again if can get this challenge to GROW. Bring me to this...

I'm also debating on doing this challenge again at the beginning of the new year. So feel free to send me feedback on that idea. Do you like the idea? Would you do this challenge again? What was the best part? What would you change? Throw some ideas to be added to it if you'd like! :)

Anyways... the winners will be posted here and PM'd when the decision is made! Thank you all so VERY much for participating!!!! (((((((((((hugs))))))))))

Now that I have time to sit for a second (crazy around here right now, and I think I have the flu after all!)... I want to thank John!

He came in and volunteered to help out with all this and not even qualify. He did an AMAZING piece to just top it off!!!

So Thank you John... from all of us!!!!

Perfect choices!!!  Congratulations, Olga and Amanda.  I loved both of them and thought they were terribly creative use of your "trash"!!

Yes, thank you John! And thank you Shannon! You guys made this possible. I would never have done a project like this on my own. This experience pushed me outside my normal boundary as an artist and I think that is always a positive thing.

Congrats to Olga too our 1st place winner!
