Here is mine. The title is "Booker's Box of Broken Dreams". It has the wooden box from a very expensive bottle of whiskey shared with good friends, a burned out light bulb, sand, a toothbrush and various scraps of copper. This work speaks of struggling with artist's block.

Yeah, it's exactly like that. Only completely different.

Cool! Nice stuff everyone!

Amanda, I love the way the pebbles read like stones. That's an awesome testament to your work with stones to say that you can render them, regardless of your medium. Beautiful.

Robin, your piece has an elegance... :) that, in my experience, is really hard to achieve with found objects. I personally think you nailed it. :)

Christi. the title really fits. It reminds me of something that you would find in the scrapbook of a theater actor... or as a momento of a colorful night out on Broadway. It reads like it was made from memories.

whew...i did finish after all!  i created this on a piece of balsa wood that's been lying around here forever...i call it: my blue balloon.

the lyrics are from "the hourglass song" from the 1973 movie "Jeremy"

the "balloon" was from an old keychain i found in my dad's stuff

yes that's me sitting there atop my name...like my bird?

Well there SHOULD be more!!!!

I hope everyone knows that even though it ended last night, please feel free to finish your pieces. Better late then never! You should be proud of your work... even if you are late it will be judged. I think I'm going to wait a couple more days to get to the judging, most likely monday.

Here is PillowThrowDecor's (Christine)entry. She had posted it in the challenge thread:

Ok... Here is mine.

I started with some beautifully soft leather pants that were totally trashed on the bum and busted zipper... not repairable at all. So took them with an old leather belt that was just way too funky to wear around my waist and here they are.  I had to add 4 upholstered buttons using the  old leather plus new thread and zipper... Almost 99 % upcycled.

Cheers

I want you to know you have all thought outside the box (or inside the box, Robin  ) and it showed just how far you could push your creativity. You proved you could all over come any weaknesses you may have had, and yet improved your strengths even more!

These are all GORGEOUS pieces, and even if we don't get any more entries... this is still going to be so hard to decide on!!!!

Great job everyone....

OK, here it is.  I created this using the scanner.  I added some lace, a dried seedpod and a flower from another image....and all the items I collected for this challenge.  Sorry I am so late with this.....I feel silly....how did I get so off on the date?

oh well crap I thought it was last day of the month midnight oh well (my bad)

- here is mine anyway though it's not included for final judgin.

my substances were a trash bag and a broken keyboard.

I utilized the keyboard for keys as feet and design elements, and the cord for the handle.

The trash bag was used to make the daisy and some poofy lining.
