Sorry I didn't get back to this earlier. I did get a little busy... and then got sucked into EVIL Twitter and Facebook yesterday. Anyways, I got help with the photoing by asking questions in Promotions section and Etsy section of the forums over there about a month or so again. I did one round of photo in all natural light outside... I think they ended up too bright, but were great for my listings... someone suggested more 'muted' tones, or a solid background for my first photo. That first photo on your listing needs to be eye candy! Pretty, artsy and like an advertisement for your entire store... not just that item. You want them to click... like... and then browse your whole store if they don't buy just that item! Like Heide said, no one cares how big that item is in comparison to a quarter before they click on it. Not a good search picture. That should be image #2 or #3 of the many shots of that item you can attach in the listing. Image #1 should just make them want to click it. I guess I can start another topic on Etsy and get the feedback again to make a listing here with sample ideas of what Etsy is looking for to get a front page listing!
