Could someone possibly tell me when the jurying application process opens up. From reading the forum I was of the understanding that the application process was taking place from October 5 - October 20. I think that I may be missing something because I cannot find the applicable selection in my art case. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

Jacqueline,

You read things correctly, but we're actually running a bit behind getting things ready for jurying on our end. The ability to apply will show up as an option in your artcase later today or early tomorrow.

So sorry for the confusion our delay has caused, and good luck with your application!

It's in out art case?  Will there be instructions?  All the stuff I read last year pertained to choosing which pieces to select.  Will we be able to sort and stuff?  I'm confused.  What else is new?

Vikki,

You apply via your artcase, but the jurors will only see the 5 items you submit, not your whole portfolio. The application process is completed the same way you enter a show; find your first piece you want to submit and select "Apply to EBSQ Juried" from the pull-down menu. You continue on until you've entered all 5 pieces required for the jury.

Let us know if you have any other questions; it's been a rather hectic couple of days around here but we're close to caught up and should be around if you need us.

I haven't seen a lot of communication on the October jurying. I know we are doing it because it was in my art case. Just concerned by the lack of communication to make sure we are still doing it. I can imagine how difficult it is to find jurors and to dedicate all their time in judging. The feedback I received last year was terrific and challenged me to do better for this time around. Thank you to all of you who are going to be judging! How do we pay for the entry???

I paid by using my paypal account to send the funds to Info@ebsq.com. Good luck with the jurying process!

Yes, it's still happening. We did promote via the EBSQ blog, Twitter, & Facebook, but it's true we haven't been talking about it much here. You can either PayPal your $10 application fee directly to info@ebsqart.com (Jacqueline misquoted our email address, but we did properly receive her fee, thanks, Jackie!) or you can wait for us to invoice you.

If you have any questions about the process, you're always welcome to ask here!

Good luck, all!

It hasn't actually happened yet; we had a technical glitch from when we made site changes to give everyone larger thumbnails. It had the unanticpated effect of breaking the EJA jurying tool which relied on rows of 5, not 3. We do have that issue resolved, the system tested, and we're getting the pool off to the jurors today.

Sorry to keep you all waiting! It's a nice small pool this time, so it shouldn't take too long to wrap things up. I'll post an ETA as soon as we have one.

The jurors are mid-process. We'll let you know as soon as we know something more definite. Thanks for your patience; this has been a very atypical jury period, so we greatly appreciate it!
