this is great Aime, but I really wish we could get some interest in having people who actually DO enter any of these to post on how it was, how they did.....what they'd do differently, etc....

or for that matter, why they choose to ignore these....is it fear of the unknown? is it that they really have no idea what it's all about...what an exhibition actually is...what happens as a result of doing shows, etc...

it's also important to know which of these are actually helpful....some will turn out to be bogus...vanity galleries trolling for artists....etc.
just as there are thousands of outdoor shows....you have to know which ones are good...hence the importance of the various show rating publictions like Sunshine Artist, etc...

I would be more than willling to help promote getting involved in things like this if I had any response at all...but with the exception of maybe two people, it's like posting in a void...I don't get it..

Lauren - did you see the one about designing a BAG????

Simple rule to spot VANITY GALLERIES - they ask the artist to pay. Legit Galleries do not - they make their money on commissions. The serious art world does not pay attention to vanity galleries.

thanks, Jeanne, but it's a one template fits all you put you art on it and people vote you in or not...not exactly what I'm looking for lol..
