Really truly guys... think outside the recycling bin!

You can pick up a broken button, or an old gold chain you'll never wear again. Maybe a t-shirt that is ripped or stained to sew an artist pillow or something?! It doesn't have to be the most common sense of the word trash! Broken table on the side of the road? Newspaper? Broken plate in the kitchen? Anything that is no longer 100% functional in its original form!

I'm shocked Jon isn't doing this?! He's the found object MAN!

Ok.. ok! I'll photo something to use tomorrow.. I have.. sniff sniff.. a broken polish pottery bowl! boo hoo! I also have some glass that I kept.. would that be 2 items? I could photo to show?? I am just checking in on this challenge.. and have no idea what to do yet!

Its because you're a push over and a sucker for anything CUTE Heather!

Long as the broken pieces come from 2 seperate objects you are good to go!

So I want to start seeing the images of every1's trash!!!??? What have we got? I've seen Amanda's and mine... you guys all seem to be toying with some ideas already... I bet you already found 1 or 2 cool things?!

My project I finished the other day, broke a piece of and now I'm adding something else... I am having quite a bit of fun with mine... and I putting in a fair amount of time. I don't even qualify for anything!!! LOL

P.s. Krista, I got your text.... did you get my reply?!

How many people are signed up, so far?

Can we all do this as a group? I would be happy to lend any advice that I can [ i mean weird questions like "how the heck do you adhere two old rusty things to each other?", and other questions that I've figured out already, so that you don't have to figure them out by trial and error the way I did]. LOL

(you sand or file down the points of contact and use a thin little dime of e6000)

Yes, you can work together, help one another whatever you would like! Only one person in the end will win though!

I want to accent one rule... the trash rule... organic carbon based material does not qualify. Such as anything you could put in a compost bin or bury and it would break down naturally. I want you to use things that would end up sitting in a landfill for year and year and year and just waste the earth and not become one with it again.

Does that make sense.... I'm having a hard time with words today... its like I didn't get enough sleep and everything is coming out, "blah pink eggs and tuna blah pants on metal tic tacs!"

That's pretty much how I feel like I sound today! ROTFLMAO!

OK. I just went back and read the thread... please tell me if I have it right, then...

1) Challenge: Make a piece of art using at least two pieces of trash*

2) *Trash is defined here as something that has no further value, is not organic and wasn't purchased in its current state.

3) Your piece must contain at least two items that qualify as "trash" but beyond that can have other non trash items.

4) To qualify you must post pics of your "trash" by today at midnight.

5) Pics of final pieces are due at the end of October.

6) WIP encouraged.

7) Prizes are coming.

Is that right? Did I miss anything?

However, I am going to make one little change since I'm getting some last minute people:
