Nice Amie... I would hate for this to go by and some people forget it was here. I think this can be a lot of fun for the participants to get to know each other, get some new people coming on and it will feel good to do something artsy and green at the same time you are trying to win something!

I'm working on the prizes still!!!!

It can be functional, for decor...whatever you want to make it into! Just give it a new creative life!

I'll be posting a pic of my materials sometime today, once I have enough coffee to work my camera.

I twittered and posted to facebook this morning!

Here are my materials for the challenge. I've been collecting them over the past week or so. Most of it is cardboard from cereal boxes, beer, pasta boxes, etc. I also have some scrap cardboard from when I posted out my bookmark orders, a piece of left over felt from daughter's school project, and a few pieces of ribbon that were going to be thrown out.

Awesome Amanda!!! You got a nice set of things going, you've put mad thought into this.

Ok everyone... its the 27th... that is 2 days until sign up time ends!!!

Just reminding you to start posting your pieces of recyclables... trash...junk...finds.... 2 pieces minimum.

That is 2 days... have you passed this challenge on to your friends and family? All you or they need to do is come here and post to qualify. Tuesday I will announce prizes. So far, I don't have enough people to offer a second place prize.

So get more people involved!

Whether you paint, glue, burn, cook, kick or run with this project... you can do it!!!!

So I am wondering if it can be something that is already mostly put together? Can we have more than 1 entry?

Yes, Ron is very talented.

1 entry per person to be judged. If you started something already you have to add at least 2 new trash pieces to it. So if you already started with 2 that are in it, I need to see 2 more.

So just photo the new pieces and add them here!

Don't forget everyone... you have to find minimum 2 pieces of junk/trash/recycling to use in your piece and you have to photo them BEFORE you add them to the piece you are creating. We need to see those pieces seperate from the art project. We want to see what you are working with in its trash state and then see what it becomes. A before and after type thing.

Hello all.  I am new here but am good friends with Shannon.  I am participating but am still in the process of gathering materials.  Can we use stuff from the thrift store?

OK, when you say 2 new pieces, does this mean 2 unique pieces or can it be 2 pieces of the same thing?

Just wanted to say "HI" to BrokeDownRanch and Krista!  Welcome to EBSQ.

BrokeDownRanch: I think what she means is you can only enter one piece of Eco Art. And if you've already begun a piece then you need to add 2 new objects (trash, found objects, etc.) to that piece.

To enter into the challenge just photograph those 2 new objects you are going to add on to your project and your are in!

Thank you for the welcome! Yes, I see about only entering a single project but I have a project semi-completed that I can add 2 pieces but these 2 are 2 halves that made a whole. In other words it's something I cut in half....lol. So I'm wondering if these 2 half pieces would be counted as 2 new items or if it has to be 2 unique items.

Ok, nothing you use as your 2 junk materials may be purchased. That is not giving them a new life because someone thinks they are still worth something. They put a price on it. You want to try to be given something, or take something off someone else's hand they consider worthless. You are trying to save something from being trash, if that makes sense.

It can be like 2 pieces of the same thing if you mean something like if you were to used tin cans, you could use 2 tin cans and it would count. Or 2 broken buttons and it would count.

However, if you are cutting one object in half to use as two... it doesn't count. Its still coming from one object. It only counts as one.
