I am new to this field....a writer asked me to illustrate her book art cover....she emailed me how she wants it done and asked me how I want to be compensated...she will self publish....should I ask for royalties or a one time payment ??? I googled illustrator contract and found a book on amazon.com
called Business and Legal Forms for Illustrators - Tad Crawford; Paperback...should I buy this?

Maybe check out the Graphic Artist's guild, they have a lot of useful info on forms, contracts etc.
