gillie -> One quick note about Ripped Off art eligibility (7/27/2009 11:55:37 AM)
|
We've had a case this year where a rip off between artists A & B was ripped off as a new rip off between artists B & C with the permission of artist B *BUT* without the permission of artist A. And while there was never specifically a rule stating ripped off work in one's portfolio was off limits, and while we're allowing said rip-of-a-rip to stay in this year's show, in the future, no rip offs of rip offs will be allowed without the full knowledge and permission of ALL the artists involved in the process. The Ripped Off event is supposed to be a great way to get to know your fellow artists and have some fun playing with someone else's art with full-permission to do so. The last thing we want is our artists to feel, well, ripped off. This new rule is unofficially in effect for the remainder of the 2009 Ripped Off show and will become official for next year's event.
