I don't know about watercolors, but the cheapest acrylic and canvas on line is Dick Blicks, and they have good shipping rates and fast shipping, they are the cheapest i have found,a lot better than hobby lobby,we have no local art supplys,i have to go on line.i hope this helps.

Thank you Kelli and Christi....I guess it is either Dick Blick or else search for a bargain online at ebay.  I did find winsor newtons on ebay a few months back but the tube of paint was almost hardened so I am a bit cautious after that experience. Of course when I ordered it i was desperate for that particular color and they probably could have sent me a brick and I would have used it.  The woman offered me a refund...but at the time i Just didnt have the leisure to send it back and wait for her new item or refund. I kind of think that some of the sellers of this type of item dont really understand the condition that the paint should be in so I think I will go to D.Blick.  I really wish that they would improve on their name,it sounds more like a porno site than an art supply place.

lol I never thought of that! They've been around forever, I'm surprised you two hadn't heard of them!

I was going to suggest ebay for the paints, maybe you'll find someone who has a set & finds they don't use them. You could also try amazon although I've never bought art supplies there (bought just about everything else though!)

Try artsupply.com too Theodora...they're often cheaper than dick blick!

I always compare between 3-4 online art stores because sometimes they have great sales going on!
