Hi all!

Ok, I have decided to enter the May Nibblefest with this art print of an original work I did quite a while ago. It is a print of my "White Rabbit's Wild Weekend" piece that I did years ago.

I got quite a lot of positive feedback & attention for it at the time, as there's (apparently) a lot of people that are into "Alice in Wonderland" that got a big kick out of it, and it's a piece that I really love and am proud of. (Lots of sarcastic/parody humor in this one, where I posit that the White Rabbit was on skid row after drinking the "drink me" labeled bottles!)

I entered it in the ebsq "Toys" show and it won a member's mention AND I had it ripped by the wonderfully talented Brookee...

So... without further adieu, here it is:

It will be an 8x10 print matted in a white mat to 11x14" -

and just fyi - here's Brookee's amazing rip of it from the ebsq show archives:

brooke e's leaving wonderland rip

I think this print is perfect for the "Secret Life of Toys" theme; as this bunny sure has a "secret" life, LOL!

Let's see what you have for this month's nib'fest!

Diane.

I love your toy paintings Lauren!  I'm sure it'll do well!!  which one will you enter??

You should list it on the 20th for a 7 day auction..   or you can do a shorter auction but it needs to end on the 27th.. can't remember the times.. but I always have mine ending evening of the 27th..

You have to include the sentence..  "This is my entry in the Nibblefest Art Contest, a themed art contest beginning on the 20th of each month. Please be sure to search for NFAC to see more great entries, each starting at just 99¢. Thanks!"..

and it has to start at 99cents no reserve doing a basic auction..  have "NFAC" in your title so peeps can find your entry!

can't wait to see yours Lauren!  back to painting at a frantic pace on mine!

You can read the complete rules here - you might want to refresh your memory since it's been awhile and some things have changed:

You'll need to be logged into the group to see it though.

Diane - I remember that bunny. I love it! Very clever.

Alma - Love yours too. The trolls' little faces are hysterical. They look very enthralled.

Heather - get back to work!!

Here's my entry, with a bit of explanation...Here's the exact wording that will be in the auction:

"Now this is all pretty hush, hush, but at one time Barbie had a little "thing" with Oscar (that's right, THE grouch). Garbie here is their love child. This is the secret Barbie doesn't want anyone to know.

Poor Garbie--he's not welcome in the Dream House and he really doesn't fit in on the Street (Sesame, that is). Won't you give him a good home?"

And here's Garbie (6" x 4", acrylic and colored pencil on MDF)
