Well you know my thoughts have been on chickies lately..  We are raising chicks right now and look forward to building the coop and one day having our own fresh eggs..


So.. SHOW ME SOME CHICKENS.. roosters.. chicks.. maybe even some chicken's EGGS!

Lets' see em!

To start off..  Here's our new baby chicks..

What a fun subject! [:)]

At first I thought "oh...no way do I have any chicken photos, but I'll have to shoot some or something before the week is over"...then I remembered my photo from January of the famed Two Harbors Chicken! 


This statue sits next to the expressway entering a small town on Lake Superior's north shore in Two Harbors Minnesota.  It has been stolen several times by sorority pranksters and harmed by vandals, but has always returned and repaired.  He has not gone missing for any long periods of time.   After all, it is pretty hard to hide a 12 foot tall chicken!

This is fun.. in the future I need nudges as i know I let these simon sez challenges pass me by b/c i'm absorbed in something else.. but this is so FUN!!!

Nope.  he was born in Duluth on May 24, 1841, and moved to Hibbing when he was young.  A few years ago his birth house was sold on Ebay..
