I just took a look & there is a new one up, but I'm not doing it - it's of traffic in NYC. Maybe next time though!

It seems like a ton of artists do that challenge (as with the Illustration Friday thing).

I lose a lot of time on the computer too, I need to just check it at certain times. I'm feeling very undisciplined lately & I have about 4 or 5 paintings I want to do this month. Doing the paintings is one thing, listing them is another. I need either an assistant or a boss to keep me on task. (notice how I'm sitting here writing this instead of painting?)

LOL Vicky.. notice how I'm reading posts, replying to posts.. and whining that i should paint more and NOT painting!

Ugggh.. I sooooooooooo  miss those crazy painting sprees I used to go on.. I need to get in that grove .. Too late tonight to do anything.. TOMORROW I WILL have a painting underway!!  I WILL also list an ACEO print on  EBay..  I hope I do that.. since I declared here I would!

The city scene would be fun.. I should do it!

haha well really it's not too late for you to start - It can't be later than 9:30 there, right? It's 11:30 here - I could paint if I was in the middle of something but am not in the right mindset to start something new. Maybe I'll do some more drawing / photoshop compositions for my commission.

10 pm we are in bed..    We only stay up late on friday and saturday nights..  I have no excuse any more.. when we first got here in Colorado last summer.. I had to walk gumbo on leash every hour house training him..  Now I just open the front door and let him do his thing.. he is so much less time consuming and no longer an excuse for not getting things done..  My kids are pretty easy.. though after they come home from school.. I am helping them with homework.. then dinner.. so I am unable to paint then.. My painting time is in the morning till they get home from school.. then at night after dinner till bed time.   I'm a sleeper.. I don't function well staying up late and getting up early.

I'll just think about painting till I go to bed tonight!

We're all night owls here at our house, during vacations even Violet has been known to be up till 2:00. During the week I get really tired at in the early evening, then get a second wind & have to force myself to go to bed because I need to be up at 6:30 to get the kids to school.

I'd stay up on occasion late with a painting when we lived in Germany but I haven't really done that here too much.. except on weekends..  I don't think I've ever been a night owl.. I'm a heavy sleeper.. out for the count.. till I wake up in the morning..  I also have to get up about 6:30am ever morning except weekends.. I'm just glad that I don't have to walk Gumbo every single time he needs to go out to pee!  He is a big boy now.. YAY!

Oooops.. it's 10pm here.. bed time!

Try spraying the back of the canvas with water, then blowdrying it. Our skinny jeans stretch when we wear them, then shrink back when we wash and dry them. I've saved a couple of canvases this way.

I spray mine then set them over the heater vent. I have even done that when they had paintings on them that got dents from leaning badly against something.
