But of course we did!

I will be in California tomorrow through Sunday, but please keep posting. I'll be back in time to judge this, and I want to see more entries or I'll borrow Donna's whip!

Lots of fun stuff! I'll be back with my decision in about an hour... 7:00 to 7:30 PST.
Last call! There's still time to post!

Thank you for all these lovely and fun entries.
It's always difficult to pick a winner, and this time was no exception.
I absolutely loved Lisa's lone tart cherry, especially since I lost my beautiful tart cherry tree to desert heat after 15 years. Donna's plantains are a long-standing fave of mine. Shawn's apricots are indeed luscious. Vicky's and Palegreenlight's whimsical entries were great... but for sheer chutzpah and inventiveness, I have to pick Noelle's derivative work, based on Kevin's photo:

That is, if Kevin doesn't mind, and if there are no blog-related issues from Moo... If there is a problem, I'll pick something else...

ROFLMA... that was a joke! PLEASE make sure Kevin is cool with it, becuase I only ever intended it as an EBSQ Joke, I did not ask him for permission to manipulate ( heh heh heh) his image ( or anything else for that matter!)

OK, OK, I know it was a joke but i couldn't resist! I love the way your mind works, Noelle... but we haven't heard from Kevin, so let's play it safe. I also love this:

because it conveys the feeling I had in mind when I picked fruit as a theme...
