There have been a couple of new people posting on the forums and taking part in shows recently that have inspired me: Alma Lee and Pat Burns. They both are very productive artists, but also very chatty (especially Alma). I like their work a lot and their attitudes about their work. I want to have a well developed portfolio like both of them.
I love to enter the shows - especially flower of the month show. This is my latest entry for this months show which is not actually a flower, but fruit, botanical style.

I am currently working on several poppy paintings for January's flower of the month show (state flowers) My favorite show this last year was the show to design a tshirt for ebsq. It gave me a chance to use my designer brain leftover from my graphic design education. I already have my idea for next year's design a tshirt show [:D]
