As we wait for that sparkly ball in Times Square to drop tomorrow, I thought it might be fun to get a gander of your EBSQ favourites from 2008. What was your favourite EBSQ show? Which new piece of yours are you particularly proud? Whichs members did something really neat this year that inspired you?  (Dare I ask your favourite blog post? )

Share your favourites here!

Since I've been more focused on photography this year, here's my favourite shot of the year:

And I loved all of your comments on this blog post:

There have been a couple of new people posting on the forums and taking part in shows recently that have inspired me: Alma Lee and Pat Burns. They both are very productive artists, but also very chatty (especially Alma). I like their work a lot and their attitudes about their work. I want to have a well developed portfolio like both of them.

I love to enter the shows - especially flower of the month show. This is my latest entry for this months show which is not actually a flower, but fruit, botanical style.

I am currently working on several poppy paintings for January's flower of the month show (state flowers) My favorite show this last year was the show to design a tshirt for ebsq. It gave me a chance to use my designer brain leftover from my graphic design education. I already have my idea for next year's design a tshirt show

My favorite show and person who did somethig neat to inspire me belong in the same sentence.

My favorite show this year was the Trashion show!  It was nearing the end of the month and I had no clues as to what I might do for it and had all but given up hope of incoming ideas when I started playing with the beautiful bead weaving loom sent to me by Jeanne.  So there is your answer to who did something neat to inspire me!   Almost as soon as I started to weave my first project the idea's for my entry came flooding in.  Writing the story was more than half the fun...

As for which piece I am particularly proud of it would have to be this one!

I liked the blog post on election day with photos of everyone's polling places.  That was a fun time.

On with the new!

I have to say Featured Friday on the EBSQ blog for the members' Etsy stores was great! That was inspiring to a lot of people to fill there stores and do new work to sell. Just in time for the holiday.

My favorite show was the 'Vote' show... it was the best year to do political view work... everyone was more passionate about politics this year then I remember in my lifetime!

And like Amie, I did more picture taking then painting or any other kind of art. All my favorites include my wee one. So here's just one:
