Well, I meant to WIP this, and got caught up in painting rather than photographing last night, so, there you go.  Pretty much an all-nighter last night, worked until 4am, was just wide-awake so, why not?  Best not to argue with the muse.

This was meant for the pet portrait swap with Heather, and we both got busy, so it's going in the late show.  I had lots of fun painting her lovely collie puppy Gumbo, working a background different for me.  And, he's so long and lanky I decided to put him on a long and lanky canvas, it's 8x24.

Worked a very small palette on this one as well, only titanium white, burnt sienna, french ultramarine, raw sienna, and a touch of cinnabar.

Hope you like it Heather!

Tracey, what a fun all-nighter!  I particularly love his eye.  And the canvas size, too.  Very cool!

Aw, that is so nice.  He is such a sweetie and you captured him perfectly.

Like the size, certainly works for him!

Thanks!  I was wondering what to do with that odd-size canvas for a while, then when I was looking at the photos of Gumbo again I thought it could work.  It was really fun to do!

I thought I posted here - beautiful work, I do like your brush strokes and the blue in the shadows of the white fur - well done!
