Since EBSQ does not have access to your financial information, it's literally impossible for us to simply deduct the fee. Fees can be paypalled directly to info@ebsqart.com. We'll also be sending invoices to folks who don't pay us directly, so no worries either way.

Ok, so deadline is tonight, that means results should be in by the morning right?  J/K

I know it takes time from the fearless volunteers to do the work of jurying, just wondering what the average time frame is, are we talking weeks or months? Just curious (and anxious ).

Yes, become juried and gain super powers of critique. (undocumented feature)

Yeah, it's exactly like that. Only completely different.
I've enjoyed just about as much of this as I can stand.

Thats how you got your superpowers!! And that explains Kris, when she saved a dinner in distress with one hand while useing the other to picki up a bus, saving a heard of injured puppies!!

Coolness!! Now I REALY hope I get in!!!

(DO we get to choose our super powers, does the jury choose them, or is it like the Fantastic 4, where they just develope with no input from anyone? If so, that would make the jury the same as the toxic radiation that affected the Fantastic 4....)

The results will be in no later than 1 November 2008. In the event the jurors are all done sooner, we'll let ya know sooner. Good luck, everyone!

Hello Saly,

Juried Artist is another level to EBSQ membership. To gain "Jurried" status, you have to be voted in via a blind jury, and entry/selections only happen twice a year. Entry's to the jury process just closed on Oct 20th and won't be open again until April.

For more info on Juried Status, go to:

from our FAQ:

We offer a juried sub-group at the request of our career-minded artists who wanted to focus on professional areas like marketing, showing with galleries, professional development, etc. Unlike many juried arts organizations in the United States and elsewhere, we do not require our artists to jump through hoops providing an MFA, resumes, exhibition history, previous art grants, or sales records. We feel this gives an incomplete picture of an artist, and closes doors on many emerging artists of great promise and talent. Rather, applying artists are juried in SOLELY on the quality of their art and online presentation of their work.

You can read more about the juried part of our group and the general application process here.

Let me know if you have any further specific questions about this sub-group or the application process!

Is the $10 fee for the application or is it $10 for each item submitted? Thought I'd bite the bullit and give it a shot. I've already submitted the pics, just need to pay ya.

the $10 is for the whole application, not per piece. and don't worry about paying just yet, we'll hit you with an invoice later this week.
