The Wild Turkey!!!!! (or is it the Turkey Buzzard??)

I have been away, but am back now.  My computer chose this visit to not act up for the computer guy, and he had it 4 days waiting for it to act up.  Sheesh.  Probably when I go turn it on in the morn it will not boot up......sheesh.

Well, anyway, I am back.  Here is mine for today.......guess what?  More flowers....

hey did you know, Lauren, that Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey to be the country's symbol, not the eagle?

Nice bead porn, Sam!!

Joe, love the color of your skys.  You manage to get the best blues...........maybe it is because the green is such a nice contrast that the sky seems to stand out so....or something like that! Great image!

Carolyn

I had the weirdest experience this morning while shooting this image. It was actually just before I shot these seeds. I went to this spot I like behind Swarthmore College, along Crum Creek. I was walking along and shooting near the edge of the water at floating leaves, paying no attention but to what was floating by in the water. Well I stepped right onto an underground beehive, they took offence to this and came flying out at me, pretty pissed-off by the sound of it. I didn't no whether to run or drop my gear and jump into the creek. I just backed away slowly waiting for the first sting... and nothing, no stings just a bunch of swirling flying bees!! I kept backing up and they went back to their hive. Lucky, lucky me !!!

I'm gonna post two, because I can't decide which one I like better

I'm amazed at the different tones. Taken at the same time, no edits on either.

what a great image, Kevin.  I love the lighting in it!!

I am afraid I sould have fainted dead away if it had been me (and would have fallen in the water camera and all!).  What great presence of mind you have!................

Lisa, both images are great, but I love the color of gold in the bottom one.  Nice images!

Here is an one from me that is not a flower!  LOL...........this is a barn door that didn't come out all that well (it should look more like a barn door!!), but I still liked the contrast of the wood and the greenery!
