I admit it. I have the Big Box of crayons with the sharpener. I'm a dork!

I guess I'm a dork too. I also have colored pencils, and I also buy a new box of Dixon Ticonderoga pencils every year about this time, mostly to chew on and sniff at my desk

    Great images today !!!

Yay! I'm not a dork!!!!!

Honestly, I've had people say, "you have crayons....the big box?"

I LOVE crayons!! They smell strange and comforting at the same time.

Kevin, the pencils just smell FANTASTIC!

I'm so glad you all understand!

Donna, your boy is adorable. He sounds like a free spirit! My congratulations and my sympathies all at once....

Kevin...I LOVE it. ROFL......what a great shot. It's the longest minute for adults too! I can't just hear the tick, tick, tick of the clock.

Eric's first day of his last year of grade school. 8 years ago. This has always been a special shot for me. On his third day of school he got hit by a car, and then missed an entire month of school.

I am always amazed at the pics in this thread!!

Sam, if crayons are dorky, then call me a dork!

Donna, fun pic of Jonah, so full of energy. How do you ever find time to paint if you have to keep up with him?

Kevin, great pic. Defiantly a LOOOONG minute!

Lisa, great pic. It could be an advertisement for the school, Eric looks so happy.

Carolyn, as always, a great pic.

Here’s mine for the day. Not a school pic, unless your on a field trip or walk to school via the Harbor…

Steph very cool sculpture....what is UMD? A univerisity I assume but which one? I also love the white puffy surrounding clouds.

Joe....not on the way to school, after school when Kevin's clock hits 2:30, I'll meet you and we can throw an ebsq party on those boats.  Fantastic shot, it's perfectly framed and composed the reflections are stunning.

C...I have never seen ANYTHING like that on my way to school It's a gorgeous bridge. I'm sure someone sees it on their way to school though.

Lisa, cool shot of Eric, but what an ordeal !!

Carolyn, I love your bridge image, I really like metal structure shots !!

Cool boats and reflections Joe !!

Beautiful sculpture Steph, wonderful sky background !!

sam, thank you so much for the pencils, their beautiful !!

( trivia question !!  Name this movie which had the line, " ... I would send you a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils..." )

Our school had these two cool overpasses which connected the old building to the new expanded section of class rooms. I walked alot of miles through them in the three years I was there. It was the seventys when I was there and underneath this overpass was the schools designated "smoking area", no kidding, between classes or after lunch it was packed with kids puffing away

" overpass, over the smoking area "

JOe, Oorah!  Great image and like lisa said, nicely composed.

Steph, that is an amazing sculpture!!  Love the clouds.

Sam, that is a great image and so wonderfully composed.

Kevin, nice image and great memory.  They allowed smoking?  Progressive school!

I am having computer problems (will not boot up right and I have to keep fiddling with it to get it to start.) So I may be out a few days starting monday (but tomorrow it may not work at all).  So just letting everyone know if I disappear....

Carolyn

Kevin: You've Got Mail (1998) (I cheated...)
I love your clock shot, and the smoking section. Nice greens and pinks and geometric effects...
Very cool images! Love that bridge, C! and the sculpture, Steph.
Sam, that would make a great advertising shot! (this is a compliment... )
Lisa, sweet shot of Eric but sorry about the accident, that must have been rough.
Joe, nice boats and reflections, oorah!
Ack, I forgot the previous page! I love c's clouds and Lisa's funky poles and Kevin's funky chandelier, and Donna knows how I feel about Jonah!
Sam I love that little negative space shape in the corner of the book shot, and crayons always rock...
Joe, nice bridge, love the peeling paint.
Steph, great capture of the spiral staircase!
Olga, lovely soft colors in the weeds...
