Okay, after several attempts, I got that last photo to work.  Phew.  I should add that the actual photo credit goes to my husband, Rob.

I love all of the photos in this thread.  They are sooo inspiring.

All around AWSOME shots today. It was difficult to decide, but Lisa gets my THUD today. Awsome!!

I almost forgot it was sign day! Here is mine for the day, not back to school, but, oh well.....

Its from my first actual show. This nursary in San DIego hosts an "Art in the GArden" show twice a year. They grow all the plants they sell from seeds and have a realy overgrown jungle feel. So you take your table and set up randomly throughout the nursary, tucked in between the plants and water features. I had to "wonder" around while a friend watched my booth, so many lovly things in the garden to photo.... This was one of their signs:

Awesome shots, everyone! Especially, I love the sandals under the swing and Donna's kids in the surf...
I have a stop sign in California with a pretty ground cover...

Thanks all! Nice shot Kevin! I liked science and math, but not biology. I couldn't bring myself to cut up creatures. Very nice shot Lisa! Love the color work. Beautiful color Carolyn. Terrific shot Donna! I love it! Nice shot Joe. Love the signs. I love the colorful ground cover, Muriel.

I've been doing some reorganizing and ran across an old geology textbook...

Geology...with highlighted lines. Excellent Sam. Muriel great sign and shadow. I love the ground cover too!  Joe totally excellent shot of the signs, and what a fun show to be at!

And thank you all for your comments on the hydrant shot. I didn't have much time to compose the shot because ummmmmmmmm I don't want to be the weirdo taking pictures of  kids at the school yard  I took out the color so the car next to the bus wouldn't stand out so much.

After thirty years, one globe missing and one broken. I really don't believe they ever fixed this light.

LOL....still broken. Great shot Kevin, looks abstract and oh well they were to busy teaching kids to worry about chandeliers.

I haven't had the opportunity to visit my high school.  I did however take this shot back in May. They added top things to the flags poles that I thought were kinda cool

Kevin, great light image.....it does look abstract and broken!

Lisa, I like those thingies on the top of the flag poles also.  Like them against the sky.

Well, following the theme of school, I will continue with things you might see on the way to school...........here is a dramatic sky.....

Hi everybody! Behind again!  I guess that's what happens when you have school!  Yes it's only 2 days a week but there is wednesday market so I'm sadly missing my long afternoons home sweet home!

Great shots everyone! clap clap!!!  I collected some yesterday finally!  I'll post two, one for my sign wednesday that I missed.  By the time I finally got to sit down after 8pm last night, I realized my camera was in the car still.  Joe's fun sign ALMOST got me out there to fetch it, but the next time I got up I went to bed, lol.

The UMD womens' Hockey are memorialized in the flags on the poles.  Get a load of the incredible ink blue sky we had yesterday:

This building looks pretty abstract and I love the cloud reflection in the glass:

Hey Sam love the crayons, no dork!  I always wanted one of those big boxes of crayons, sharpener or no.  Joe, love your old white wood!  you do old very well and the colors are excellent!  Loverly weeds Olga, hope you're feeling better!  I see your humidity must be lessening also, as your sky is bluer too!
