Oh, great caterpillars! I picked a tomato worm (really a caterpillar for the sphinx moth) off one of my pepper plants this morning... but I bet it isn't in any shape to be pghotographed now... sorry...
Awesome tower, Steph!
Sam lovely filigree and nice contrast of textures!
Joe, that's awesome, and I know what I'm going to post for today, but first I have to go photo it!

OK, here we go, excuse the crappy hurried photo...
This is a stoneware head I did in ceramics class in college. It scared the crap out of the kids for years and I had to keep them in a closet (there were 2) (the ceramic heads, not the kids... )

Steph, the springs aren't hot (although there are hot ones in Tecopa, California, about 45 minutes from here). They were the springs that started settlement in the Las Vegas area... Carolyn, I think they're just hollow steel poles with holes in them. They did a really nice job on the Springs Preserve. It just opened last year. Before that the whole marshland area was closed to the public.

Here's a green one.........side note. Shot has lots of noise. I spent a bit of time shooting and forgot to reduce the ISO on the camera....So um I think this is shot at about 1200. LOL.  I suppose it's much betther than the afternoon family bbq without the memory card in the camera

Thanks Lisa!  hehehe...the storm was fast approaching.  Hail was on the horizon and I had just put my car in the garage then had a few minutes to spare so there I was like an idiot...I ran fast when the big drops and hail came though!

Steph, nice job! There's something melancholy about that picture... I want to take the horse down from there...
Lovely tomatoes, Kevin and Lisa, really nice color in both.
Some sunflowers for today...

Oh Muriel, the sunflowers is just wonderful!  That is a thud if I ever saw one!  The lighting, the whole thing!  Dangit deer attacked my sunflowers before they even grew this year.

I am still laughing about the wonder horse.  He sits on that pole in the drieway along with a few others that I saved from a dumpster when I worked at recycling/transfer station.  Thanks for the thud of the week Kevin, too fun!!!!!

Thank you all! But it's not quite as sharp as it should be, and the background needs decluttering... other than that, yeah, the flowers look good, LOL.
Good for you saving that horse, Steph! I love a good dumpster find! I just feel sorry for it up there, I don't know why! Very nice photo with the clouds, anyway!

Finally back!  Some great pictures posted while I was away.  I am always so impressed with the work everyone is doing.  I think we have a very impressive group of photographers here!!

I have one here that I worked on a bit.  It has a black and white background with the Iris in color.  I like doing that because of the contrast.

Iris on a Black Background.....
