How to support a self-representing artist for less than a Decaf Latte Yes, we know Valentine's Day was last month, but we bet there's an EBSQ artist that still wants to know you care. If you've visited (or entered!) any of our recent monthly art exhibits, you'll see a shiny new widget on each show prospectus page via ChipIn.com. Thanks to this innovative new program, we've been able to turn our shows into publicly sponsored art exhibits where the winners of the shows (chosen by your votes at the close of each show) take 100% of the spoils that are "chipped in." Pretty neat, eh? What the heck is chipin, you ask, and how does this work with EBSQ? ChipIn is a Web-based tool that will allow us to collect and publicly display donations as they arrive. They make this process quick, easy, and secure, with all payments handled via PayPal. EBSQ kicks off every show by donating the first $50, but things start to get interesting when you "ChipIn." If you'll take a look at our debut ChipIn events (on which you can still vote and/or chipin additional funds), the big bucks are going to the participants of The Nude in Art, with Fractals vying with February's Flower of the Month: Lobelia for second place in funds raised. So far this month, Vice has the slight edge, but the month is young and it's anyone's guess as to which show will have the biggest kitty. You don't have to be a member, or even a registered patron, to be a part of EBSQ exhibition history. You can donate as little as a dollar. Or as much as you'd like. Again, that's 100% of the proceeds that goes straight to the winning artist. Can't spare the money this month? Perhaps you already gave? (if so, Thanks!) You can still help. Every widget has an embed code that will let you put the widget(s) of your choice in your personal blog or website.Simply click "copy" to grab the code and promote your favourite shows. Whether it's to "chipin," to cast your vote for your favourite piece in each show, or simply to enjoy some fantastic art, we hope you'll stop by and check out the new EBSQ exhibition program. Good things (and great art) are happening! Share the love. And support a living artist today. -The Folks at EBSQ http://www.ebsqart.com Get out of the vacuum and express yourself! PS Don't forget to cast your vote for your favourite pieces in February's shows through March 7th! Results of our first ChipIn events will be announced on March 8th on our front page!
