So if you put a paypal button link.. then its just listed to sell thru here and not thru EBay??  Like for instance it doesn't route them to Ebay?? though EBay owns paypal..   So your only fees that you pay is the Paypal % they take for a normal transaction?

Great news Barb!!   Off to peek at your portfolio

YOu can put a pay pal button on any painting you are selling and have it only sell  thru your pay pal account. I of course have a business account thru PP.   My web site has a store  on it. On here I just send the customer a pp invoice.

I am going to take a wild ass guess here.  I bet that Jen meant to type concession, as opposed to condescension

I could be dead wrong about Jen's intention....if so, please feel free to beat me with trout.  Hell, I will lend you my whip.

nah - i meant "condenscension" (sp?)
but that's neither here nor there at this point.
soooooo, we - scratch that - I - can beat you with a trout? yippeeeeeeee oh wait - a whip? ok - i gots me a whip hehehehehehe

I noticed the paypal button in some descriptions, I just wasn't sure if it would be kosher with EBSQ. If this is within policy guidlines, that would be really awsome! I think it would open up sale to us, the self-representing artist on EBSQ, and help the people who run this site as it would offer sales without too much work from their part.

Maybee there should be a article in the monthly magazine on how to do such! Paypal offers the steps, but if its approved here it might be helpful if the steps were reviewed on the site.

for some reason, we never got notification of joe's comment, just the two that followed.

we don't "officially" endorse paypal buttons in item descriptions since it confuses our status as to the public as to whether or not EBSQ is a sales venue and what EBSQ's responsibilities are to customers who make purchases that way, but if you can figure out how to do them, we won't stop you unless we start getting fraud complaints.

btw--agreed this would have been better posted in its own thread on site feedback and not as an addendum to the political guidelines discussion, lol.

Hi Melissa!

You know, this is such a harsh topic this year... I'm avoiding it, or attempting to, because I've gotten into several fights and ended friendships over political disagreements. I got into a screaming match with an ex, which dissolved into idiocy between us on Twitter, and... yeah. I'm a political activist, I won't avoid it, but I hope everyone can be civil. Even though I strongly believe you shouldn't vote for the other guy!!!

*laughs*

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but please be friendly and cut it off if it starts to get ugly. I'm sure others besides myself are doing political art, so it can't be avoided, but there's no reason to start a division among EBSQ members.

Hey Colleen. It's good to see you about again. We don't do political discussions anymore. Here is the link to the announcement in current events. Hope you will be about more!

Oh, that's good. Politics tends to stir up too many arguments, but I haven't finished catching up on everything again yet since my absence. Hope you're doing well - and that's interesting about the Paypal, I'll have to add it to my blog to let people know.
