I've posted my challenge pieces! I think I need to get a better photo but my camera is acting up today. I may update it after the batteries charge.

We tried some and the plastic must have been to thick as it curled up and stuck on itself and then the corners turned white. Will try again with lighter weight plastic now that I know what doesn't work. Thanks for doing this challenge it has been fun.

yes, let me tell you that white opaque plastic disposable plates DO NOT uncurl, lol.

Is it green When you buy stuff in the take out containers just to do this project when you wouldn't have otherwise?  lol

OMG!!!
YOu guys are great!!!
I'm so excited!!!

How cool!

Sorry, I've been AWOL a few days. I have 4 shows in the next 10 days, not to mention my big deal show in January. I have lost my head and all sense of reality..

So- back to the challenge! I'm so happy that it inspired some experiments and they are so cool!

I call it GREEN if you aren't throwing something away. Yes, I find I MUST buy cookies to save the planet. The supermarket bakery likes to use those thin plastics. Also, gourmet ravioli comes in the thin plastic, although I usually opt to keep them as little organizers instead of baking them.

If you start to look at containers in a new way, then mission accomplished!

I better go figure out some prizes for you folks!

Did my above post sound like I use ravioli as organizers instead of cooking them? No ..I'm not THAT green! I meant the plastic..the plastic!

I picked out a pair of earrings that are all ready and waiting for the lucky winner's name and address!

Cufflinks will be shown tomorrow - late tomorrow!

Here's a link to the earrings prize on the portfolio.

That's ok for now but as soon as someone adds something to that gallery, it won't show your earrings anymore. As it is you piece's place in the gallery when someone adds something, the order shifts. It is the same with your portfolio. If you don't add anything to your portfolio you can link from there.

I had carved a bulb one Christmas to make gift tags but I couldn't find it so, I carved another. Then printed it onto the plastic, then coloured with Sharpies, then... well - you know the rest.
They are about an inch high. It was fun and if I had more plastic, I would go through all of the things I've carved over the years and go nuts.

Ya know I tried this I really did but my idea didn't pan out LMAO

I had taken my neice ot a pizza hut/kfc place and we got drinks with a great KFC logo on it. (Col. Sanders) reallly pop arty! in a great shape outline - it rocks. (I DON't like thier food but the logo is kewl)

I was thinking that would look great on my tree (since it's cocacola red/white/black/pop-arty)

well I cut the logos out and stuck 'em in the oven (they were recycle 6) but they turned into twirled Col Sanders icicles. LMAO never did flatten out.

I didn't have an opportunity to try again.

But it was awesome anyway.

will definately be doing it again.
