Thanks, Heide, that's okay.  You will all see it, eventually!  No biggie.

Sorry you're not entering, Donna.
Very nice painting, Heide! I love the variety in the flowers.

Nope, I haven't seen it yet either.   Heather, thanks so much for pulling this all together for us.

I went back to the beginning of the thread to see what I might have missed...WOW!...I am blown away by all the entries!

LisaM- How did I miss your Coffee Pot???  I love your color choices against the black ground.  Very nice!

Muriel- Your entry is amazing. I love that you recreated Cezanne's item for item! My favorite thing is the shell, but the whole thing rocks!

Heide- I have a hard time putting into words how your painting makes me feel.  It's like I'm looking at someone with a split personality.  It is beautiful and there is such a softness, but there is precision and exactness behind it.  I absolutely love it.  It's the same way I feel about the painting you made of my dog Isis in the pet swap.

I think I already commented on the rest, but let me say again...WOW!  What a great showing everyone!!

edited to add that if I did miss anyone, I apologize!!

Yes, three cheers for Heather! (or maybe more...)
All the entries are wonderful; I bet the competition will be heated! It would be nice to have a mention of it in the forum header with a link to incite people to go and vote! These challenges don't always get the response they deserve when it comes time to vote...

Thank you Beth! Yes, I like the shell best as well. I had fun doing it. I have quite a few shells in the house, so this makes me want to do more. I had a hell of a time with the cup and saucer, sigh... I love this particular cup; my friend Mo gave it to me many years ago, and that's why I picked it. I have some stoneware mugs from Colonial Williamsburg that would have been easier! O well. This painting makes me feel good. I don't think I had painted a still life since high school, so I feel I did OK.

I just love seeing all the variety of style and techniques. It has been awhile since I have done a still life which is actually my favorite genre,,,,,,,, I am glad the crazy one pushed me to participate in this challenge.

That Heather

Thanks!!

I assume the polls should be anytime?.   Melissa will be setting them up.

Been off the computer most of the day on a MAJOR cleaning/organinzing/Holiday decorating/decluttering Spree!!  Then I can get back to painting!

Ugg!  Circles are HARD to paint!  LOL, I'd like cube shaped veggies, too, easier to cut without cutting myself
