ORIGINAL: dianam quote:
I threw all my stuff away in a series of manic fits over the years. oh, that's too bad, I would have liked to see your stuff, but I've done that too, just not with my art. I threw my wedding dress away from my first wedding one day many years after my divorce. I didn't know my daughter would one day wish she had it for her wedding. It was a hippie dress. not traditional. What kind of stuff di you throw away? Wind chimes? Glass stuff? Oils and acrylics, repousse, stained glass objects, small windows, hangings, some things similar to what you do only done with altered found objects, some sculptures ... lots of oddball stuff. Tons of mosaics. A basement and attic full. I was in such distress I couldn't even fathom selling the stuff. I would borrow a friend's pickup truck and haul it to the dump. I also threw away pictures of my stained glass installations. I really hated myself back then. Oh and my wedding dress? To the dump. A shame because it was really pretty ... it had been used in a fashion show and I got a steal on it.
