My big sister always sends me great art-supply birthday gifts. This year I got a new set of Prismacolor pencils, some of the new Premier prismas and a very unusual new "pencil"...

I think at the very least, I'm going to love it for sketching out ideas on canvas...

what a cool tool that seems to be...

what are the Premiere Prisma pencils like? how are they different than the other ones? I love Prismacolors and would welcome the possibility of having new ones to buy lol..

Well, I've only used them a tiny bit today but my first impressions weren't great - Despite seeming to have the same great consistency as the regular prismas, the cores seem to be too fragile (The points keep coming loose when sharpened much- on 2 of the 3 colors I've used so far). I do really like the colors though.
