~updated 10/08~ Some changes were made on my webspace and the links changed... the stuff is all still there... just needed an address update. I fixed the links so you should find all the PDF instructions for some fun little digital art projects. (purple indicated updated item)

So it was requested that I put all my tutorials in one place for you all to see. As I mentioned before these are all tutorials that I made for my middle school digital class that I teach. They walk you through an assignment step-by-step. You will notice some classroom specific instructions (about naming and saving files) you can ignore those. We use Photoshop Elements 2.0 so the menu selections may not match your version of photoshop. (you can see all of them together at my school site too) There are more lessons that I am working on and I will add them to this thread when they are ready.

It was also requested that I do some interactive workshops with these tutorials...so more on that later.

Andy Warhol Inspired Many Faces: Using Duplicate Layers, and Filters.

Mandala the circle of life: Using Polygon tool, rotate and move, duplicate and merge layers.

Photo Painting: Using brushes and paint bucket.

Replace a Face: Using magic wand tool, rotate and move and position layers as well as filters, color enhance and blending

Peter Max Inspired Photo Painting: Using brushes, creating patterns and paint bucket.

Artistamps: Using paint, text, layering and photo package printing.

Also see my educational blog (digital art filter) for some MS PAINT projects and more on pivot, videos and other stuff.

I tried your Andy Warhol faces.  Not sure I came up with an Andy Warhol face,s but it was fun to review over the filters.  Fun to see what they do....I just did them straight, no combinations.  I saved it, does that help my grade!??  LOL....that is a nice tutorial especially for those beginning to use filters.  here is mine.....

The subject is my highly photogenic granddaughter....cutie pie!!  Of course, I am an objective observer....LOL

What did I use?  First one was Plastic Wrap which I think is fun to play with, next was Find Edges (I think..), Then Texturizer, finally Canvas.  The second row is Emboss, then dry brush and finally Rough Pastels.

Fun!

Carolyn

I give you an A for good experimentation of filters. but I agree that it doesn't fit the andy warhol part, but a lot of the kids don't manage that either. If they learn some filters that is the goal. (plus it is the first assignments, so they are figuring out sizing, copy and pasting layers and moving things around too)

good job

Dandelion, Did you actually get them to open up? I did some changes to this website and somehow the links aren't working anymore... I need to explore why and get things reset up. One of my summer projects!
