this section's topic hosts are no longer active and the discussions have languished. should we whack the topic or bring in new topic hosts?

I didn't realize this before, but some of Robin's work fits in here.  Maybe he will take this section and revive it?

running out before he sees me volunteering him while he is away....

I'd love to see the sculpture section re-invigorated!  The doll forum really never took off and the few of us that were there had different medias (cloth, paper mache, felt).  No one else sculpted dolls.  :(  I'd love to see Andre pop her head up and lead us along again!

Hugs
Loretta

Yeah, it's exactly like that. Only completely different.
I've enjoyed just about as much of this as I can stand.

It would be pity to whack this section.

There could be new users who will likely involve in this (like me).

Hello everybody btw :)

I'd hate to see it go. It seems 3D often gets overlooked and well....I'm playing with paper mache, right now,
and it would be nice to have a specific place to show off.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'll say that the fewer topics EBSQ's forums offer, the less pull we have to retain people and attract new ones. Even if there is no activity in this topic now, you never know when someone will show up and want to post in it. If it's not here, they won't be able to.

I'm thinking of doing some polymer clay & PMC (Precious Metal Clay) experimentation soon .... my wife's friend who makes polymer fairies wants to teach me a few things. Not making fairies ....whew ....don't get me wrong. I have a reputation to uphold. Guys making fairies .... I dunno. I was thinking gargoyles .... yea that's it .... real guy stuff. But not fairies.

I hope I didn't offend any guys who just might be making fairies at the moment. You're a better man than me.

Would there be any benefit to mixing forums, to so that there were more minds working on any one section (and more of a likelihood of a forum remaining active)?

Like could 3D join Functional? Or Fiber join up with Dolls? Or Functional and Jewelry? Illutrations and Printmaking? I've seen Mixed Media paired with 3D before.

I dunno... I'm really just thinking out loud.
