This is prismacolor pencil and watercolor on 5 x 7 canvas paper.  I now see some areas that I will improve.  Interesting what photos can do, no?

Donna - I missed this post - I have missed a few lately for some reason - anyway, have you worked on this more?  I love the diagonal composition you have.  I know this is really enlarged, but would it look better with a thicker covering of the medium to show more tonal value? 

Just my thoughts - I am a failure with Prismacolor, will have to put aside a good space of time to really understand it properly.  I find it frustrating.

Donna, I see areas where the wax from the pencil is repelling the watercolor. You could use this to your advantage by letting this effect happen only where you want highlights. Or doing the watercolor first and then going over it with the prismas would give you more control.

Bolder tone variations in the blue background would add interest as well. But nice start, I like the composition and crop.
Yup, photographing and posting will bring out all kinds of stuff you don't see when you've been staring at something for hours!
