This is the underpainting.  I'm kind-of excited about this painting, I hope it doesn't suck.  I haven't been totally happy about the last few paintings but I think I might be feeling good about this one, possibly.

that'll probably change.. I know all painting have that stage where you just feel like quitting.. I know mine do!..

what is your inspiration for this one?. heh just noticed Heide asked this same  question too..   do tell!

I really like the composition and (yes! ) movement in this.
Not so much the colors right now, but you can do layers. Don't gesso it!

like it a little more, still haven't ruled out gesso.  I'll give it 2 or 3 more sessions.

So I'm calling it done.  I like it, but I don't know if I like it enough to make a whole series from it, or if I should go back to my more organic flowery forms...  identity crisis!!!
