Treasury Challenge - 6/5/2011 11:38:03 AM

I would like to post a 100% EBSQ treasury to the EBSQ Blog this coming Saturday (June 11th). To spice things up a bit I'm turning this into a challenge/game.

Your mission:

1. Create a 100% EBSQ treasury on Etsy
2. Share the url to that treasury in this thread.
3. Share the url to that treasury on the Etsy Team Page Challenge thread.

Which ever treasury has the most views will be posted to the blog on Saturday!

Remember, you can tweet your treasury, post it on Facebook, Blog about your treasury or even Stumble your treasury. Contacting each person in the treasury is also a good way to get more views!

Gee I wish I could take time to learn how to do a treasury. I spent 6 hours yesterday trying to troubleshoot a piece in a digital art program...sheesh.

Well, maybe I will try to learn how to do a treasury this week. Anyway, I think this is a great challenge and there are plenty of EBSQ artists that like to do treasuries...(-:

Sherry treasures are sooo easy to make now.

When you click on Treasury from the Etsy.com there is a link on the right that says Create a List. Here's a link to create a new treasury: http://www.etsy.com/treasury/new

Then its just a matter of filling in a title, description and you can copy and paste the URL of the Etsy item into the little boxes. Adding tags is also good, but not required. When are you done you hit save at the bottom. That's it.

If anyone needs any one-on-one help, just let me know. You can leave a tab open with a treasury you are working on and it won't effect it. I do this sometimes for days while I gather the items I want.

Also, I can chat with you on FB to speed up the help process. Just PM me here first and let me know. I don't keep my FB chat "On."

Ha, ha, ha...Amanda I am going to really try to work on this now. I have been up past midnight last couple of nights consumed with a piece of art I was working on then up at 4:30am to go to work. I am pretty much finished with that and can spend a little time on this.

I have my treasury ready and it is AWESOME if I say so myself...lol. I had to put two pieces from almost everyone I used to get enough for the topic of my treasury. I'm sure their feelings won't be hurt.

Amanda I need you to okay my application for the team on Etsy so I can post my treasury there. I thought I had already joined, but apparently not. I'm going to go ahead and post here for starters.

Hmm...how do I find people to add to my circle? I only see where I can look for people to add through yahoo, etc. Where is the find people to add to my circle on Etsy. Did that go away or is this a Duh! moment and I am staring right at it.

Update: Okay, it has changed but I did find how to do it.

Yet another edit: Thank you Amie for approving my application!!

Another question: Where can I go to keep track of my treasuries. I tried the drop down menu that says handmade, shops, etc. and didn't see it there. (probably another dumb question)

If you click on your Etsy profile it should show a list of your treasuries. Otherwise I tend to keep my open and just refresh the browser.

Don't forget to keep sharing your treasuries!! You can even share them on your blog. Here's a great tool for posting a treasury:

It will give you HTML code to insert into your blog post so your treasury shows up with all the little images.

If you use it I suggest choosing 3 columns and for Size: Tiny.

Well, I emailed/convo'd Jeanne that I hope she had a good sense of humor. When I was creating my treasury I didn't know the store "Nanny's Room" was Jeanne's and I put her in my treasury...lol. Not realizing that she was also in this challenge...oops.

I had to use several people twice because there was so few that came up in my search for "copper."

I even convo'd her to email her friends to go view my treasury because I was in this challenge. Of course after I realized I convo'd her back to apologize.

I'm a little embarrassed at the moment. It's just been one thing after the other like that this week.

There's no rule that says if you are participating in the challenge you can't be in the challenge treasuries.

It's all good!

I can understand your embarrassment though, I've done that before with a different shop. Then realized I knew that person. LOL

LOL...Amanda, it's not that I thought there was a rule about it...just maybe a little impolite.

But hey, like you said an honest mistake.

WOW! Thanks for the generator!! I think you posted that on another posts but I couldn't find it so thanks for posting it again. I don't know if I will get around to being able to use it this time around but definitely will be useful in the future.

Yes, I feel an affinity too Sherry. I always think I only know enough about technology to be somewhat dangerous and get excited when I can get something to work properly.
