OK. I'm heading out on a business trip tomorrow morning, so I guess it's now or never in terms of me posting. :) Here were my original pieces: And to this I added a few things that I got at a yard sale. A pair of deer hoof coat hangers and a pair of duck wings. and some parts to a broken fan. And I was lucky enough to find in the trash a base to something. I don't know to what. LOL... but it's HEAVY... so it supports the weight of the rest of the piece. So, here is my final piece. It is called Winged Faun and it is 16" tall. In Roman mythology, fauns are spirits of untamed woodland. They are fun-loving, happy and often given to periods of drunken, orgiastic behavior! Fauns resemble goats below the waist and humans above. What you see here is a very rare winged faun. Here's how I imagine him in nature: He's a very sweet funloving guy... a rare male figure for me, but I am loving having him in my studio. I may actually keep this one if I can make enough pieces for my upcoming show not to have to bring him. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's pieces! C'mon y'all... get to postin'. :)
