Because I want it here and I want it now!!!  I'm so tired of Winter!!

So obviously this can be pretty broad - anything to do with the idea of spring, the season, rebirth, new life, etc.

I'm waiting for you to Dazzle me!

I hear you Alma - that's one reason I chose Spring. It's about time all of us had some relief from one crazy Winter.

Beautiful Robins!! I saw a Blue Jay this morning picking up pine straw, no doubt for a nest - there could be hope for us yet!!

This was a shot from the scene outside the kitchen window of our Indiana home that I took last spring.

OMG Lisa!  Wonderful capture!  I will start out by saying that Spring is my least favorite season!  That is because Sring is but a joke in this part of the world.  It is a bitter never ending cold season with biting winds that only end in mid June when we go from the freezer straight to the oven.  It only looks pretty from the inside. Once in awhile I will venture out though, and this is what I will see...

The seagulls return and so do the people that feed them

My favorite part of my most unfavorite season is the shades of new green that changes dramatically daily

The ice will melt on the lakes somewhere around mid  to late April

The first flowers I will see in my gardens will be these...

The now frozen falls will be raging from the snow melt

The lakes might not melt until late April, as evidenced by this photo taken on April 28th last year!  Trust me when I tell you that reading about everyone else's Spring and looking out the window at this scene is NOT fun!

And on the same day, inland looked like this...

Mother nature doesn't love us on the tundra!

Spring brings the birth of new baby farm animals

The first ships will leave port through icy waters that have been chopped by the Coast Guard and they will need the help of tug boats

The Farmers market will open in May!

even though it may be snowing outside we will still celebrate.  Yes May 12th snow can fall, see?

I don't usually get out to photograph my Daffodils as it is mostly just wicked cold so I admire them from inside...

Although it is generally too cold to want to go out much the little burst of color over a drab landscape is most welcome. Once the white snow melts there is really not much pretty out there for a little bit!

Well. . .

That was an amazing post!! It was like a visual diary of Springs battle with Winter. And I just love how you ended it with that Daffodil struggling to open despite everything.

That was really cool. It would make a good blog post!

Hey Amanda!  Thanks for the good idea, I will have to copy paste this into my blog!  It camefrom there, but it was segmented from a couple of Springs!
