Speaking of Blues festival...we faithful are there come rain or come shine...

In this photo many of us were wearing long underwear as it was barely only in the 40's in August in Duluth...

We love our music!

Something a little different...abstract wire shaped guitar (pendant). Torched copper, fine copper wire and garnets.

Simon Sez: John Philip Sousa

Here is the latest addition to my series of portraits of great composers.
The central portrait is a photoetching from my drawing and lists some of his best known works. The outer border is a collagraph.

If you want to see the Sousa page on the website I am building for my portraits go to:  www.52composers.com/sousa.html

Wonderful work everyone. Tough decision.

This is work after my own heart. I am always drawn to a marching band. I've watched them and been involved with them for years. I find this image very interesting and I am fascinating by the hand coloring. Congrats S. Key...you are the next Simon

Great choice!  Two of our daughters were in a most excellent high school marching band so this really rings a cord with me!
